First Christian Church

 Bertram, Texas

Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

History

The First Christian Church had its beginning in South Gabriel where the congregation met in the school house. After the establishment of Bertram in 1882, this group began meeting in the Bertram schoolhouse (later known as the Woodman Hall). In 1889, the congregation purchased land and constructed the church building which is still used by the First Christian Church today. An education wing was added to the building in 1950, and expanded in 2009.
