First Christian Church of Bertram is a member congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This denomination has more than 800,000 members in 4,000 congregations across the United States and Canada, but our ministries extend throughout the world. Just as the first disciples were commissioned by Christ to share the Good News of the Gospel to all nations, our mission comes straight out of the New Testament.

The chalice symbolizes the central place of communion in worship for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The X-shaped cross of the disciple Andrew is a reminder of the ministry of each person and the importance of evangelism.
